Tax Lien Simplification Act proposed in U.S. Senate

U.S. Senator Carl Levin proposed a bill this month that, if adopted, would make searching for federal tax liens easier—and free. The Tax Lien Simplification Act would create a free, publically accessible electronic registry for federal tax liens, substituting the current paper filing system.
