Recently, an industry provider distributed erroneous communications regarding pending changes to the treatment of noise words/corporate endings supported by the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth's UCC Division. According to the report, those revisions would render some financing statements seriously misleading. We have direct confirmation that nothing has officially changed regarding Massachusetts' RA9-compliant searches or search logic. While it is testing a new search system, no revisions to current procedures have been decided nor confirmed by the state. We will continue to communicate with MA and report any updates if and when they are official.
